What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low impact exercise method, developed by Joseph Pilates, that strengthens muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. The technique focuses on building strength from the core of the body through precise and focused movement.
What should I wear?
It is preferable to wear comfortable form fitting workout clothing which allows the instructor to see your movement.
Where can I park?
There is metered parking (quarters only) on S. Division St., Brown St. and South St. Meters are free on weekends. Free street parking can be found up the hill on 1st St. and 2nd St., a short walk away.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours cannot be refunded.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, personal checks, cash and Venmo.
What can I expect from my first Private session?
For your first session you can expect to be asked interviewed about your physical history. From there we will perform an assessment of your current muscle firing patterns, posture, range of motion and body alignment so that your instructor may tailor your sessions to best address your particular needs.
What if I am inflexible or not active?
NO WORRIES! As Pilates is a low impact exercise method, the sessions can be modified to be as light or strenuous as needed for your current fitness level or physical ability, with a focus on realizing the best results for you
